Our CEO, Carmen Jenkinson has notified us that she will complete her time at Crime Stoppers Queensland at the end of 2021.
Carmen has come to the decision that, after these past years of leading Crime Stoppers Queensland through a significant period of transition and consolidation, she is ready to pursue other career opportunities.
The Board takes this opportunity to acknowledge Carmen’s leadership and contribution to our organisation. Under her tenure, we have stabilised our financial position, strengthened our volunteer engagement and developed strong relationships evident at this year’s Volunteer Conference, as well as built a small, dedicated and highly competent office team. Carmen has also overseen the launch of an updated and secure website that supports anonymous reporting of crime. Overall, Crime Stoppers is now a healthy and sustainable organisation and we wish Carmen all the best in her future endeavours.
From this strong base, we will shortly commence the process of recruiting our next CEO, with a view to that person taking up the role in the New Year. We look forward to introducing you to the new appointee in 2022.
