Crime Stoppers Queensland is pleased to share recent developments within our Board, highlighting our continued commitment to strong governance and leadership.
In December, we welcomed Ian Stewart AO APM as our new Chairperson, succeeding Greg Beale OAM, who stepped down after his dedicated service in the role. Former Queensland Police Commissioner Ian Stewart is a seasoned director, executive, and consultant with extensive expertise in leadership and governance. With qualifications in business and public policy, Ian champions engagement, trust, and mutual respect.
We are also pleased to announce the addition of Stuart Waddington as Treasurer. Stuart brings a wealth of diverse experience, and we are delighted to have him join our team.
Continuing on the Board are Assistant Commissioner Brian Connors APM, representing the Commissioner, and Tim Ryan BM OAM, both of whom remain steadfast in their commitment to our mission.
With gratitude, we bid farewell last year to Andrew Jones, who stepped down from the Board to assist in our State Office, as well as Assistant Commissioner Katherine Innes. We sincerely thank them for their invaluable contributions to Crime Stoppers Queensland. Their dedication has been instrumental in advancing our mission.
“As we step into 2025, these changes to our Board mark an exciting new chapter for Crime Stoppers Queensland. With fresh perspectives and proven leadership, we are well-positioned to build on our successes and continue delivering for the safety of Queensland communities,” said David Hansen, CEO.
